Bereits 2007 wurde in unserem Haus mit Einführung der 454-Technologie die Möglichkeit zur Ultrahochdurchsatz- und Ultraparallel-Sequenzierung geschaffen.

Already in 2007, the introduction of 454 technology provided us with the means of carrying out ultra high throughput sequencing and ultra parallel sequencing.
Applications:
- De novo sequencing of the complete genome (in particular micro-organisms) using shotgun and paired end reads
- Ultra deep amplicon sequencing for, amongst others, minority detection and virus evolution
- Re-sequencing projects
- Transcriptome analysis
- Metagenomics
